I help teach children with physical or mental developmental disabilities fundamental movement skills such as running, throwing, catching, and jumping through interactive organized games. SEPTEMBER 2016
I acted as a UVIC Ambassador leading tours for new students on campus. In this role I had the opportunity to give back to my UVIC community and share what I have learned during my undergraduate degree. JUNE 2015-PRESENT
I assist a kinesiologist in the exercise prescription (both on-land and in-pool) of rehabilitation programs for clients dealing with a range of conditions such as pre or post replacements, chronic pain, motor vehicle accidents, or sports related injuries. JUNE 2013-2015
I worked as a full-time counsellor for Operation Trackshoes a 3-day track and field event for individuals with physical and/or mental disabilities. As a counsellor you are paired with a participant and help facilitate a variety of activities throughout the weekend. MARCH 2011
In my last year of secondary school I travelled to Maras, Peru with classmates to build a school as part of a Global Perspectives course. The funds for the project and materials were raised by the students through a silent auction. |
